In Bangladesh, flood hits the country almost every year. This year flood was more devastating and prolonged. Many ultra-poor people of different districts were the worst victims.
Shakrail Rural Development Association took the initiative to distribute relief materials among the poor victims of Shakrail village in Shibalaya upazila of Manikganj district. On Saturday (August 15, 2020), members of the association handed over relief items.
Association has distributed relief items among 250 marooned families of Shakrail village. The relief materials included rice, pulses, oil, potatoes, soap and saline.
President of the Association and Advisory Editor of 'Daily Bangladesh Khabar', Syed Mezbah Uddin, Senior President AY Ahsan Uddin, General Secretary Mostafizur Rahman Rashid, Senior Member MM Raich Uddin, Abdul Quader, Co-President Faridur Rahman Chowdhury, Joint Secretary were engaged in this work. Syed Bashir Uddin, Treasurer Mohammad Ali Tulu, Organizing Secretary. Imrul, members Mahmudul Kabir, Abdul Rahman Chowdhury and Zahirur Islam among others.
