8 People Including Anisul Huq Remanded Again

Former Law Minister Anisul Huq, former Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder, former IGP Abdullah Al Mamun, and retired Major General Ziaul Ahsan Zia have been remanded by the court in the case of murders committed in the capital's different police stations.


The capital's Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court ordered to remand them again on Wednesday (October 30).


Apart from this, the court granted the remand of some others today. They are former minister Shahjahan Khan, former education minister Dr Dipu Moni, former MP Haji Salim and Chhatra League leader Tanvir Hasan Saikat. The court granted their remand for different periods.

 

The court granted a three-day remand to former food minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder in the case of murder committed at Dhaka's Mohammadpur police station.

 


Meanwhile, the court granted a five-day remand to former law minister Anisul Huq in a case filed at Shahbagh police station and a three-day remand in another murder case at Badda police station.


The court again granted a five-day remand to retired Major General Ziaul Ahsan Zia in another murder case at Badda police station.


Apart from this, former minister Shahjahan Khan was remanded for 4 days in Jatrabari police station murder case, former army officer Ziaul Ahsan was remanded for 5 days in Newmarket police station murder case, former IGP Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun was remanded for 3 days in Dhanmondi police station case and 4 days in Bangshal police station case. Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun will be remanded for a total of 7 days this time. Earlier, he was in remand for more than a month and a half.


Meanwhile, the court once again remanded former Awami League MP Haji Salim for 5 days in the Chawkbazar police station case and Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JASAD) president and former minister Hasanul Haq Inu for 3 days in the Dhanmondi police station case.


Apart from this, the police remanded Chhatra League leader Tanvir Hasan Saikat for 5 days in the case of murder committed in the capital's Chawkbazar police station.
