Adviser on Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Asif Nazrul stated, "If we are given a year, we will implement the necessary reforms. If there is a national consensus, the next political government will find it difficult to change or cancel these reforms. Reforms are essential for us."

He made this remark during a dialogue organized by the Center for Governance Studies at the CIRDAP auditorium in the capital on Monday.

Dr. Asif Nazrul mentioned that the chief adviser to the interim government and the head of the Reform Commission have verbally agreed to implement the reforms based on national consensus.

He noted that many individuals have been detained for extended periods without being found guilty, and bail applications have often been denied.

Furthermore, Dr. Nazrul emphasized that if the country held fair elections every five years and an elected party formed the government, the ruling party would not have been able to use the judiciary to act so autocratically.

He asserted that judicial appointments to the High Court have been influenced by political affiliations and that the process for appointing judges to the High Court will be finalized based on three reform proposals. for appointing judges to the High Court will be finalized based on three reform proposals.
