Bus-covered van collision kills 4 in Bogura

At least four people were killed and seven more were injured when a bus collided with a covered van on Dhaka-Bogura highway in Betgari area in Shahjahanpur upazila of Bogura.

The accident took place around 4:00 am on Tuesday (July 9).

The deceased were known as Md Ridoy, 22, son of Titu Khan, Jesmin, 35, wife of Mohammad Ali, Shamim Hasan, 45, son of Mahbub Hossain, and Abdul Hannan, son of Afzal Hossain.

Confirming the matter, Miladunnabi, in-charge of Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital, said Noagaon-bound the bus collided with a covered van in the area, leaving covered-van driver Ridoy and a woman named Jesmin dead on the spot. Later, two more died on the way to hospital.

Kundarhat highway police station OC Abbas Ali confirmed the matter.
