The circular for recruitment of 32,577 assistant teachers in government primary schools was published on Monday.
The Department of Primary Education (DPE) confirmed the publication of the circular, says media report.
Senior secretary of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education Md Akram-Al-Hossain informed that a total of 25,630 assistant teachers will be recruited for pre-primary and 6,947 assistant teachers for primary education.
Sources said this is the biggest-ever circular in the history of recruitment of primary schools. Some 32,577 assistant teachers will be appointed against the newly-created posts and vacant posts.
According to the new recruitment policy, for the first time women candidates will not be able to apply without graduation. Eligibility to apply for male candidates will be the same as before.
DPE sources said four daily newspapers will publish the circular on Tuesday (tomorrow). The circular is now available on the website: http://dpe.teletalk.com.bd.
