Students may attain 76 days of holidays in 2025

Proposed annual holidays for all public and private lower secondary and secondary schools in the country for the year 2025 have been listed. After its approval, a notification will be issued soon by the Ministry of Education.

In the proposed list, a total of 76 days of holidays have been kept in secondary schools. The long holidays on the list are – Holy Ramadan from March 2. Schools will be closed for 28 consecutive days including Eid-ul-Fitr, Jumu'atul-Wida, Independence Day, and other holidays. Classes will resume on April 8 after a long vacation.


Besides, there will be 15 consecutive days off during the holy Eid-ul-Azha and summer holidays. This holiday will start on June 1 and continue till June 19. 


8 days of holiday have been kept for Durga Puja. However, several holidays including Lakshmi Puja, Fateha-e-Yazdaham will fall under this holiday.


On the other hand, like every year, this year too, three days leave has been reserved for the head of the institution. The head of the institution can give these holidays when necessary.


Apart from this, there will be regular holidays on various national, and international days and religious rituals.
