After the vacations of Eid-ul-Azha, people were seen returning from their home towns and villages to the capital since Tuesday morning.

Since Tuesday morning rush of Dhaka-bound vehicles were seen at Daulatdia terminal to cross the Daulatdia-Paturia water channel.
On the route 16 out of 17 ferries were plying till noon.
Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation deputy general manager for ferry services at Aricha office, Zillur Rahman, said that some people were still leaving Dhaka on the day.
On the day seven out of 17 ferries on the Kathalbari-Shimulia water channel were plying till filling this report at 1:30pm.
BIWTC manager commercial at Kathalbari terminal, Md Abdul Alim, told New Age that due to strong current on the river they were operating few ferries on the route.
He also said that the pressure of Dhaka-bound passengers and passengers from Dhaka were moderate on the day.
Till 1:00pm on Tuesday around 150 launches came from southern districts at the Sadarghat launch terminal in Dhaka, said Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority joint director Alamgir Kabir.
He said the number of Dhaka-bound passengers would increase from Wednesday.
At Gabtoli inter-district bus terminal in the capital many buses were seen carrying back passengers mainly from northern and southern districts on the day.
Some of the passengers alleged that many bus staffs were taking more than 50 per cent passengers on the buses defying government order.
Most of the passengers on launches and ferries were seen violating the government order of maintaining social distances in front of the authorities.
After returning to Dhaka passengers suffered immensely following the water congestion on different roads.
