Passenger launches will not be allowed to carry motorcycle during Eid-ul-Azha, BIWTA imposed the ban on Tuesday.
AKM Arif Uddin, joint director of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA), confirmed the matter.
He said the ban will remain effective from July 29 to August 4.
The BIWTA sources said the launches are moving across the country maintaining the health guidelines like use masks, hand sanitizer. The authorities have strictly banned the passengers who do not use masks.
It is also maintain social distance of the passengers.
