2 killed in motorbike crash on Ctg Elevated Expressway

Two persons were killed as the motorbike crashed into a lamp post on the Chattogram Elevated Expressway in the EPZ area of Chittagong on Friday midnight.

The deceased, identified as Md Moktar, 28, and Md Rubel, 36, were both residents of the city's Sadarghat area.


EPZ police station OC Mohammad Akhtaruzzaman confirmed that the accident took place around 12:00am, killing both the riders on the spot.


When the motorcycle hit the lamp post as the motorcyclist lost his control while heading towards Lalkhan Bazar from Patenga area, leaving them dead on the spot, he added.


On information, police recovered the bodies and sent those to Chattogram Medical College Hospital. Police are investigating the accident.
