Another 59 SIs undergoing training at the Bangladesh Police Academy in Sarda, Rajshahi have been exempted. They were exempted due to disciplinary issues. The information was revealed on Monday (November 4).
Last month, 59 Sub-Inspectors (SIs) who were undergoing training were bereaved. They were given this notice for creating chaos by sitting randomly in the training class.
On October 21, a letter signed by Superintendent of Police (Admin & Logistics) Tariq Bin Rashid on behalf of the Principal of the Police Academy, sent the show-cause notice to 10 people and another letter on October 24, sent the show-cause notice to 49 people.
Earlier, 252 sub-inspectors (SIs) training at the academy were dismissed on charges of indiscipline.
Incidentally, in 2023, 823 people were finalised and sent to the police academy for SI training. They were supposed to be commissioned this month after completing training as the 40th batch of cadets.
