Jamaat Wants President's Resignation

Assistant Secretary General of Jamaat-e-Islami Prof. Abdul Halim said the Jamaat-e-Islami President wants Md Sahabuddin's resignation. We hope that the interim government will complete the fundamental reforms and hold elections as soon as possible.

 

He said these at a function organized on the occasion of LDP's founding anniversary and National Council at the Engineering Institution auditorium in the capital on Saturday (26 October).


Urging all parties to be united against the Awami League, the Jamaat leader said that the fallen Awami League is conspiring in different ways every day. All their conspiracies must be stopped. The group fell through a collective effort. Now we have to be united for the national interest.

 

Abdul Halim while calculating their losses said that in the last 15 years, 11 top leaders of Jamaat have been killed, 30 people have been victims of crossfire, cases have been filed against 1 lakh leaders and activists.

 

This leader of Jamaat believes that elections are necessary to establish people's rights.
