LPG prices jump again

New prices for LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) have been fixed at the consumer level for October. The price of a 12 kg cylinder has been increased by Tk 35 and fixed at Tk 1,455. The new prices will be effective from this evening.

Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) announced the new price on Wednesday (October 2).


BERC announced that the retail price of private LPG has been fixed at 121 takas 32 paise, i.e., Tk 121.32 per kg including VAT at the consumer level.


Apart from this, the price of private LPG supplied in liquid form in the reticulated system has been fixed at 117 takas 49 paise, i.e., Tk 117.49 per kg including VAT.


Besides, the price of autogas has been fixed at 66 takas 84 paise, i.e., Tk 66.84 per liter.


In September, the price of a 12 kg LPG cylinder was Tk 1,421. It was Tk 1,377 in the previous month.


Now the LP gas price is fixed as per the market every month. BERC sets this price.
