In connection with the murder of Dhaka Residential Model College student Farhan Fayaz, murder and genocide cases have been filed against Sheikh Hasina and 34 others.

The cases have been filed with the investigation agency of the International Criminal Tribunal (ICT).

Shahidul Islam Bhuiyan, Farhan's father, filed this complaint on Tuesday (September 10).

Apart from Sheikh Hasina, Obaidul Quader, Anisul Huq, Barrister Fazle Noor Taposh, Jahangir Kabir Nanak, Sheikh Fazle Shams Parash, Chhatra League President Saddam Hossain, General Secretary Wali Asif Inan, and Police Officer Biplab Kumar were made accused among others. They have been accused of committing crimes against humanity.

Farhan Fayaz, an eleventh-class student of Dhaka Residential Model College, was brutally shot dead during the 'complete shutdown' of the quota reform activists in Dhanmondi on July 18. At that time, his mother Nazia Khan posted on social media Facebook demanding justice for the murder of her child.

Fayaz's mother Nazia Khan wrote in a Facebook post about the death of her child, "This is my Farhan Fayaz. He is dead now. I Want Justice."

On the same day, Nazia wrote in another post "They killed my son. He is not yet 18 years old. He was born on 12 September 2006. I want you all to raise your voice as much as you can. I want justice."

Farhan Fayaz's full name is Md. Farhanul Islam Bhuiyan. He was less than 18 years old. He was a higher secondary student and was supposed to appear in the examination along with the students of the 2025 batch.
