Chief Advisor's Tribute At Shikha Anirban

The interim government's Chief Advisor Dr Muhammad Yunus paid tribute to the memory of the armed forces martyred members.

He paid his honors by offering wreaths at Shikha Anirban around 11:30 am on Thursday (September 5) at Dhaka Cantonment.

Sheikh Hasina resigned from the PM post on August 5 amid protests by students. On that day, Army Chief General Waker-uz-Zaman announced about interim government. He also held a meeting with political parties and university professors.

That night, the president also met with the three armed forces chiefs and political party leaders at Bangabhaban. Later in the night in his address to the nation, the President also announced the formation of an interim government.

Later, Dr Yunus' name was announced as the head of the interim government on behalf of the protestors.

Then on August 08, an interim government was formed with Nobel laureate Economist Dr Muhammad Yunus as the Chief Advisor.
