The President appointed Advocate Md. Asaduzzaman as Attorney General. He was a senior advocate of the Supreme Court.
A notification on appointing him as Attorney General was issued on Thursday (August 8) by President's order.
This information was known on Thursday (August 8) at noon.
According to the notification, 'The senior lawyer of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh Md. Asaduzzaman was appointed as Attorney General of Bangladesh until he was reassigned, by virtue of the power given in Article 64(1) of the Constitution of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.'
This order shall be effective immediately.
