Student leaders enter Bangabhaban with memorandum

A 12-member delegation of the protesting students, demanding the logical reform of the quota system in all grades of government jobs, entered Bangabhaban with a memorandum.

The delegation went to Bangabhaban with the help of police at 2:25 pm on Sunday (July 14) to submit the memorandum to the president.


The delegation members include Sarjis Alam, Nahid Islam, Asif Mahmud, Hasib Al Islam, Rifat Rashid, Hannan Masud, Sumaiya Aktar, Abdul Kader, Meherunnesa Nidra and others.

Earlier, the protesting students started their march towards Bangabhaban from Dhaka University’s Central Library under the banner of ‘anti-discrimination student movement’ around 12 pm.


Prior to this, the students started gathering with banners at Dhaka University’s Central Library around 11am.

In addition to DU, the agitating students of seven affiliated colleges and Jagannath University started gathering to join the march.
