A low pressure has formed in the Bay of Bengal. As a result, the Meteorological Department has forecast moderate to heavy rains in eight divisions of the country from Saturday (June 29) to Sunday (June 30).
Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra ports have been advised to keep hoisted local cautionary signal No 3.
A Met office bulletin said that within the next 24 hours, rain is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions. Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Dhaka,Rajshahi, Khulna divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls.
There is a possibility of moderate to heavy rains in some parts of the country.
