Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the newly constructed VVIP lounge at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital.
It was inaugurated by the Prime Minister on Tuesday (April 25) morning before his visit to Japan.
The Prime Minister will visit Tokyo at the invitation of Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, Washington at the invitation of the World Bank and London to attend the coronation of Britain's King Charles (III). The Prime Minister is scheduled to return home on May 9 after a 15-day visit.
During the visit to Japan, eight agreements or cooperation memorandums are to be signed in various sectors including agriculture, metrorail, industrial upgradation, ship recycling. The foreign minister said that this visit will create an opportunity for more serious discussions on the issue of promotion of strategic partnership between the two countries.
The Prime Minister is scheduled to return home on May 9 after a 15-day visit.
