Mega reality show 'Qur'an Noor' to start in Ramadan

Hifzul Quran contest mega reality show 'Quraner Noor' is starting in upcoming Ramadan. The competition will be held under the auspices of Bashundhara, the country's top business group. The entire program will be telecast on News24 channel and YouTube and Facebook. Hafez below 15 years of age can participate in it.

Yesterday Wednesday (1 February 2023) at 11 o'clock in the auditorium of the Islamic Foundation of the capital, this information was given in a press conference organized by the initiative of the National Mosque Baitul Mukarram Musalli Committee. Saim Sobhan Anvir, Chief Advisor of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque Musalli Committee and Managing Director (MD) of Bashundhara Group was present at the press conference.

Also present, the president of the committee Haji Md. Yakub Ali, general secretary. Mizanur Rahman Manik, Senior Vice-President Gulzar Ahmed, National Mosque Khatib Mufti Ruhul Amin, Pesh Imam Shaikhul Hadith Muhammad Muhibbullahil Baki, Maulana Mizanur Rahman, Mufti Ehsanul Haque Jilani, Maulana Mohiuddin Qasemi and other Islamic scholars and eminent scholars.

It was informed in the press conference that this type of competition centered on National Mosque Baitul Mukarram is the first time. In this case, 30 para Quran hafizras under 15 years of age from 11 zones (regions) of the whole country, including North-South two zones of Dhaka Division, can participate in the competition.

The 11 zones include - Sylhet, Mymensingh, Comilla, Chittagong, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Khulna, Faridpur, Barisal, Dhaka North and Dhaka South. A total of 27 Hafez from nine zones of the country will join the second round. These three will be brought to Dhaka along with their parents. And a total of 18 Hafez, 9 from two zones of Dhaka division, will participate in the second round. Later, a competition for excellence in pure and beautiful Quran recitation will be held with a total of 45 contestants. A panel of judges consisting of eminent Islamic scholars and experienced Hafeez will select five Hafeez from here for the final round.

The first winner of the reality show and nationwide Hifzul Quran Competition-2023 'Qur'an Noor' will get Tk 10 lakh and honors. The second winner will get seven lakh rupees and honors. The third prize is five lakh rupees and honors. The fourth and fifth place winners will get two lakh rupees each and honors. The remaining five in the top ten will also receive cash prizes and honors.

The judging panel will consist of Shaykhul Hadith Mufti Muhibbullahil Baki An Nadvi (Pesh Imam, Baitul Mukarram National Mosque), Shaykh Ahmad Bin Yusuf Al Azhari (President, Iqra), Mufti Mizanur Rahman (Senior Pesh Imam, Baitul Mukarram National Mosque), Shaykhul Hadith Mufti Ehsanul Haq Jilani (Pesh Imam, Baitul Mukarram National Mosque), Shaikhul Hadith Mufti Muhyuddin Qasem (Pesh Imam, Baitul Mukarram National Mosque) and Mayor Muhammad Hanif Jame Mosque Imam Imran Noor Uddin.
