BNP vice chairman and also former president of Supreme Court Bar Association Advocate Khandker Mahbbub Hossain passed away at a hospital in Dhaka on Saturday night. He was 84.
Advocate Khandker Mahbbub Hossain breathed his last at about 11:00pm while undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital, said his junior lawyer Mohammad Shishir Manir.
On Wednesday, the BNP leader was put on a ventilator at Evercare a day after being admitted there with a respiratory problem.
Mahbub, former vice-president of the Bangladesh Bar Council and president of the Supreme Court Bar Association, was one of the lawyers of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia.
