Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has come to the BGB headquarters to participate in various programs including a parade on the occasion of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Day.

He appeared at Biruttam Anwar Hossain parade ground of BGB headquarters on Tuesday (December 20) at 10 am.

At this time he was welcomed by the Home Minister, BGB Director General and various officials. He visited the entire parade ground.

After that, the Prime Minister visited the BGB parade and took salute.

According to the program adopted on the occasion of the day, the Chief Minister will award medals to the BGB members for their heroic and meritorious contribution to the BGB and later take special care of the BGB members.

Meanwhile, a grand 'Joint Retreat Ceremony' of BGB-BSF will be held on Tuesday afternoon at ICPs adjacent to Benapole land port in Jessore, Banglabandha in Panchagarh and Brahmanbaria as part of mutual cordial relationship and trust between the Border Guard Forces. Bangladesh and Indian Army.

As part of the BGB Day celebrations, a special Durbar of the BGB Director General will be held at the Seema Convention Center in Pilkhana on Wednesday morning. At the end of the Darbar, the Director General will award medals and mementos to the officers and members of the BGB for their meritorious contribution to the BGB.

Also for meritorious work in operational activities, anti-narcotics trafficking and seizure and promotion of Honorary Subedar from Major to Honorary Assistant Director and from Honorary Assistant Director to Honorary Deputy Director will wear Award Rank Badge. On this occasion, the brave freedom fighters and their heirs will be felicitated, grants and gifts will be given.

Apart from this, on the occasion of BGB Day, a reception will be held in the afternoon and a cultural program will be organized in the evening at the Pilkhana Dhaka Sector ground with the performance of BGB's own orchestra and the country's elite artists.

On the occasion of BGB Day celebrations, regimental flag hoisting, milad and special prayers, feasts and cultural programs will be held in all areas, institutions, regions and units of BGB outside Dhaka.
