The death toll from the explosion in a gas pipeline in Keraniganj rose to five as one more victim died at Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery (SHNIBPS) on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Sonia Akhtar, 26.
Resident surgeon Dr Ayub Hossain said Sonia had suffered 23% burn injuries on her body,
She died at around 3:30am on Tuesday while undergoing treatment in the ICU.
The body has been kept at the hospital morgue, said Inspector Md Bachchu Miah, in-charge of DMCH police outpost.
On August 30, six members of a family suffered critical burn injuries in a fire in the gas pipeline of their house in the Jinjira area of Keraniganj.
