Bangladesh in last 24 hours recorded more 3,243 COVID-19 positive Covid-19: 45 new deaths, 3,243 cases in 24 hrs

Additional director general of the Directorate General of Health Services Nasima Sultana disclosed the information on the regular online briefing on COVID-19 situation.

Some 2,781people were declared recovered from the novel coronavirus infection, taking the total number to 42,945.
Bangladesh reported its first coronavirus case on March 8 and the first death ten days later.
Some 16,045 specimens were tested among 16,327 samples collected in the timeline.

Bangladesh confirmed its first three COVID-19 infections on March 8 and it took only 103 days to cross the one lakh mark of the detected patients.

Directorate General of Health Services director general Abul Kalam Azad in the regular online bulletin on Thursday said that the novel coronavirus would remain over two to three years in the country.
He said that rate of infection would decrease after few days, but it might not be realised seeing the number infection.
