200 gold bars seized at Chattogram airport

Customs Intelligence on Monday seized 200 gold bars weighting 17.4kg from Shah Amanat International Airport in the port city.

Roksana Khatun, deputy commissioner of Chittagong Custom House, confirmed the matter.
She said that acting on a tip-off, a team of Customs Intelligence and National Security Intelligence (NSI) conducted a joint operation and recovered the gold bars from the back panel of BG-128 flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines which came from Abu Dhabi this morning.
