Two youths were killed and three others injured in a road accident on Netrokona-Madan road in Balibazar area of Netrokona on Tuesday morning.
The deceased were identified as Selim Mia, 30, son of Mostofa, hailing from Shirosadpur village of Netrokona sadar and Emdad Mia, 35, son of Mokshed Mia, from Bali village of Netrokona.
Tajul Islam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Netrokona Model police station, confirmed the accident.
The OC said, “The speedy lorrey rammed the victims while they were standing beside road at 7:30 am, leaving the youths dead on the spot and three others injured”.
Seriously injured Golam Mostafa has been sent to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital and two others were admitted to Netrokona Adhunik Sadar Hospital, he said.
