BD High Commission in Malaysia shut down

All the activities of Bangladesh High Commission in Malaysia's capital Kuala Lumpur have temporarily been suspended after some officials and employees have contracted coronavirus.

The High Commission confirmed the matter through an urgent press release on its official Facebook page on Thursday.

Taking the overall situation into consideration, all the activities at Passport Office at Ampang branch in Kuala Lumpur were also temporarily suspended.

The press release said there is no need to take a new appointment who have already taken it. The high commission authorities have been sincerely working to provide passport services to the expatriates in time.
Meanwhile, 2,525 fresh cases of coronavirus infection were reported during the last 24 hours on Thursday in the country, while 1,13,010 have so far been infected. A total of 471 people have, so far, died from the virus.
