A mild to moderate cold wave is sweeping over the 12 regions of the country and it may continue for four more days.
The lowest temperature was recorded at 7.7 degree Celsius in Chuadanga on Monday, said Meteorological Department.
The cold wave sweeps over Panchgarh, Kurigram, Pabna, Naogaon, Jashore, Kushtia, Chudanga, Barishal, Gopalganj and Srimangal, Met office added.
According to report, 9 degree Celsius was recorded in Gopalganj, 8.4 degree in Srimangal, 8 in Rajshahi, 9.2 in Iswardi, 8.2 in Badalgachi upazila of Naogaon, 9.7 in Dinajpur, 8.4 in Tetulia of Pnchagarh, 9.8 in Rajarhat of Kurigram, 10 in Satkhira, 8.6 in Jashore, 7.7 in Chuadanga, 10 in Kumarkhali of Kushtia, 9.6 in Barishal and 10 in Bhola.
Met office bulletin for next 24-hour from 9am said that a light to moderate fog may occur elsewhere in the country during midnight to morning.
