Bangladesh and India on Thursday signed seven agreement and Memorandums of Understanding in the field of agriculture, trade and environment ahead of a virtual summit between minister Sheikh Hasina and her Indian counterpart Narendra Modi.

The MoUs are- Framework of Understanding on Cooperation in Hydrocarbon Sector, Framework Agreement on High Impact Community Development Projects, Protocol on Trans-boundary Elephant Conservation, MoU on Supply of Equipment and Improvement of Garbage/Solid Waste Disposal Ground in Barishal City Corporation, MoU on Co-operation in Field of Agriculture, MoU between the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Memorial Museum, Dhaka and National Museum, New Delhi, Terms of Reference of India-Bangladesh CEO’s Forum.

PM Hasina was leading the Bangladesh delegation in the talks, which began about 11:30am, from her official residence Ganabhaban.


India's High Commissioner to Bangladesh Vikram Doraiswami and respective Bangladesh officials signed the agreements and the MoUs.
