Former Sylhet mayor Kamran dies from coronavirus

Former Sylhet mayor Badar Uddin Ahmed Kamran died from novel coronavirus at the Combined Military Hospital in the capital early Monday. He was 69.

Kamran breathed his last around 2:30am.

Earlier on June 7, Kamran, an Awami League Central Working Committee member, was flown to Dhaka by an Air Force helicopter when his life was in danger.

He was diagnosed with the deadly respiratory disease on June 5. His sample was tested in Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital’s PCR lab.
