Four die, 20 injured in Magura road accident

At least four people were killed and 20 injured when two passenger buses and a microbus collided each other on Magura-Jashore Highway on Friday.

Two of the deceased were identified as Amin Mia, 40, a supervisor of Chakladar Paribahan, and Fakhrul Islam, 38, from Narsingdi.  

Magura sadar police station officer-in-charge Md Joynal Abedin said that two passenger buses— Chakladar Paribahan and Sohagh Paribahan— and a microbus collided each other in Moghirdhal area at around 1:30pm.

After the accident, the Chakladar Paribahan bus plunged into a roadside ditch, he said adding that the Fire Service and Civil Service members recovered the four bodies from it.

The injured are undergoing treatment at the Magura 250-bedded hospital.
