Power supply becomes normal in M'singh

The power supply at four districts of Mymensingh division became normal on Saturday after 40 hours of disruption following a fire in city's Kewatkhali Power Grid.

Masudul Haque, executive engineer of the power grid, said, "T 1 transformer was reinstated around 2:52am on Saturday at the grid. After that, the electricity supply in the division became normal."

PDB, employees of Mymensingh's PGCB and expert team of energypac also helped to restore the power, he added.

The power supply was snapped in the entire division from 10:30am on Thursday as a fire broke out at the Kewatkhali Power Grid.

On September 8, a massive fire also broke out at the grid which snapped the power supply in the whole division.

Later, the electricity supply was restored after 20 hours.
