The Detective Branch of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), on Sunday night, arrested ATN News reporter Imran Hossain Sumon from the capital's Hatirjheel area for allegedly sending filthy text messages to his colleague.
"Sumon has been arrested in a case filed under the Digital Security Act," Mudassir Husain, deputy commissioner of DB-Cyber and Special Crime Division told The Business Standard.
A news presenter of ATN News filed the case with Pallabi Police Station on July 12.
Later, the case was transferred to the detective branch of police.
