Regent Hospital and head office of Regent Group in city's Uttara area have been sealed off on charge of different allegations, including issuance of fake coronavirus or Covid-19 certificates, according to media report.

A mobile court of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) led by its executive magistrate Sarwoer Alam conducted the drive at the head office of the Regent Group at 4:00pm on Tuesday.

After the drive, Sarwoer Alam said they found unauthorised test kits for Covid-19 and a number of forged reports on Covid-19 tests there.
“We have sealed off the Regent Hospital and head office of the group. They were involved in preparing fake reports sitting there. They have not utilised samples of 5/7 days, rather they have thrown those away. We have also found unathorised rapid kits for the test of Covid-19 from their possession during the drive,” he added.

He said the patients who are currently undergoing treatment at the Regent Hospital have been transferred to Kurmitola General Hospital.

“We have also sealed off the head office of Regent Group, where there are a number of offices, including the head office. But it has not been possible yet to nab the owner of the group Mohammad Sahed,” Sarwoer Alam stated.
