Chief Adviser meets Azerbaijan President

Chief Adviser (CA) Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus today met Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev at the COP29 climate summit venue in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.

During the meeting, they discussed issues of mutual interest, according to a message received from CA’s Press Wing on Thursday (November 14).


Earlier, Non-Resident Ambassador of Azerbaijan Elchin Huseynli in a meeting with Prof Yunus in Baku stressed the need for deeper trade ties between the two countries on October 22 last.


He also said Baku is seeking “new opportunities” and ways to open up doors for more businesses.


Azerbaijan sought to sign an air services agreement with Bangladesh, he added.


The Chief Adviser is expected to return home at 8 pm today after wrapping up his state visit to Baku to join the global climate meet titled “Conference of Parties-29 (COP29)”, Chief Adviser’s Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad Majumder told the media.
