At least 10 officials of Biman Bangladesh and Customs House, have been found connected to the theft of masks which imported by Toma Construction. The theft happened at the  cargo godown of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) however, has been asked to take disciplinary action against those involved in the scam.
CAAB Chairman Air Vice Marshal M Mafidur Rahman said, "Investigation in the incident has been done giving utmost priority. The entire incident was captured in the video footage and those involved were identified. I was told to send the report to the Ministry concerned and to inform what measures were taken against the accused."

Earlier on May 2, the Directorate General of Drug Administration (DGDA) give a supply order of three lakh N-95 masks to Toma Construction.

But, the number of supplied masks were less than the order. Later, the DGDA sent a letter to Toma Construction asking for an explanation.

Quoting the letter, report said that while receiving a consignment of one lakh 800 pieces masks from Tama Construction at Central Medical Stores Depot (CMSD), it was found that around 1-2 boxes were missing.

In this way, if there are lesser number of boxes in the other cartons, a significant number of masks will be missing at a proportional rate, which is undesirable and a breach of contract.
Finally it was confirmed that the masks were stolen from Airport, a private investigation of Toma Construction said.
