The ongoing mild heat wave is likely to continue in different parts of the country, said a Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) bulletin valid for 24 hours from 9am on Saturday.
A mild heat wave is sweeping over Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions and the districts of Tangail, Sylhet and Chuadanga, and it may continue, said the bulletin.
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers with temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at a few places in Rangpur, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places in Rajshahi, Dhaka and Mymensingh divisions, it added
Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged.
The country's highest temperature on Friday was recorded at 39 degrees Celsius in Saidpur, while the lowest temperature on Saturday was recorded at 26 degrees Celsius in Rangamati.
The highest rainfall in the 24 hours till 6am on Saturday was recorded at 15mm in Sylhet.
The sun will set at 6:49pm on Saturday and rise at 5:21am on Sunday in the capital.
