Leaders of Newspapers' Owners Association of Bangladesh (NOAB) held a meeting with Information Minister Dr. Hasan Mahmud on Wednesday.
They talked about different aspects including how newspapers can overcome the adverse circumstances generated by coronavirus.
The meeting was held in the Secretariat. NOAB President AK Azad, Vice President ASM Shahidullah Khan, Executive Member Mahfuz Anam, Naim Nizam and member Shah Hossain Imam participated in the meeting.
The NOAB leaders sought advice from the Information Minister about getting the pending advertisement bills from different government and private organizations. Dr. Hasan Mahmud stated that the Cabinet Division has asked all ministries and departments to act fast in this regard.The NOAB leaders and Dr. Hasan Mahmud also talked about the volume of newspapers' circulation all over the country, quality and content. They laid emphasis on making newspaper industry sustainable.
