Rejecting the Dhaka-18 by-election, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has demanded a fresh election.

On behalf of BNP nominated candidate SM Zahangir for the by-poll to Dhaka-18, BNP chairperson's advisor Amanullah Aman demanded re-election at a press briefing on Thursday.
BNP leaders at different levels also were present in the event.

The constituency of Dhaka-18 remained vacant following the demise of former Home Minister Shahara Khatun on June 13. There are 5 lakh 77 thousand and 188 voters in the constituency. Six candidates contested the election.
