Users of Bangladesh are suffering slow internet connections from Sunday morning due to glitches in the second submarine cable, said Internet Service Providers' Association of Bangladesh (ISPAB).
Submarine Cable Company Ltd (BSCCL) also said the glitches in submarine cable caused the sluggish internet service.
It said there is no way to bring back normalcy in internet speed before 9pm as the SEA-ME-WE-5 submarine cable landing station in Maitbhanga area of Kuakata lost connection.
The BSCCL general manager Mirza Kamal Ahmed told media that submarine cable was cut in Alipur area on Sunday morning.
"Engineers went to the spot. Internet connection may resume in full pace after 9pm," he said.
