All the intercity train services will consecutively resume after August 15.

Sharif Alam, public relations officer of the Ministry of Railways, confirmed the matter to media.

Apart from public transport, train movement resumed on a limited scale on May 31, the day after the nationwide lockdown over the coronavirus outbreak ends.

Eight pairs of intercity trains began plying on different routes on May 31. Later, 11 more pairs added to the services from June 3.
