New York police found a limbless, headless body believed to be of co-founder of Bangladeshi ride-sharing app Pathao inside his swanky Manhattan condo Tuesday afternoon.

New York-based daily News reports that police made the grisly discovery in a building on E. Houston St. at Suffolk St. in the Lower East side about 3:30 pm local time.

A New York police department official told the newspaper that the investigators believe the victim is tech entrepreneur Fahim Saleh, who bought the condo for $2.25 million last year.

Saleh is one of the co-founders of Bangladesh ride-sharing app Pathao.

NYPD spokesman Sgt. Carlos Nieves said all of the body parts were found at the scene but declined to give specifics on where.

‘We have a torso, a head that’s been removed, arms, and legs. Everything is still on the scene. We don’t have a motive,’ he said.

Detectives were waiting for fingerprint and forensics tests on the body, the newspaper reported quoting police sources.

Britain’s daily Mail reports the 34-year-old man's body was initially found by his sister inside their luxury apartment building.

The alarm was raised after the Saleh's sibling became concerned after not hearing from him for a day.

She went to the seventh floor unit to check on her brother only to be met with a gruesome sight.

Her brother's body had been cut up with a power saw, which was lying nearby and was still plugged in.

The body parts were sorted into different plastic bags.

Police believe they have surveillance video of the suspect entering the building and using the elevator.

Video shows the gloved suspect wearing gloves, along with a hat and mask covering his face.

Osman Saleh, a spokesman of Pathao, told New Age that they have seen the news only internet and were trying to gather the details.

‘We have seen the news but we don’t know much about the incident yet,’ he said.

He said Fahim is a founding partner of Pathao but had no role in its operational activities.

Fahim, a Bentley University graduate, founded Pathao in 2015 with two other Bangladeshi youths Hussain Elius and Shifat Adnan. The company is currently valued about $100m.

He started a similar venture in Nigeria’s Lagos in 2017 when he founded GOKADA.
