Goats and decorative items have been distributed in Islampur under the beggars' complete housing and alternative workplaces scheme.

On this occasion, a discussion meeting was held at the Upazila Hall Rome on December 12 (Thursday) afternoon by the Upazila administration. 

The meeting, chaired by Islampur Upazila Executive Officer Touhidur Rahman, was attended by Jamalpur Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Hasina Begum as the chief guest. After the discussion, the chief guest distributed 3 goats each to 16 beggars and decorative items to 8 beggars under the beggars' complete housing and alternative workplaces scheme. 

Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Sadia Akhter and officials from various departments of the Upazila administration were present at the time.
