BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and his wife have arrived in London on a 10-day visit. On Saturday, he arrived at London's Heathrow Airport on a Bangladesh Biman flight at 4 pm local time.

Mirza Fakhrul was welcomed at the airport by UK BNP President MA Malek, General Secretary Qaysor M Ahmed, and other UK BNP leaders and activists.

He will meet the party's acting chairman Tarique Rahman during his stay in London. He will participate in a rally organized by UK BNP next Tuesday.

The BNP Secretary General is visiting the UK for the first time since the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government in the face of a student uprising on August 5 and her departure from the country. He last came to London to meet Tarique Rahman before the 2018 national elections.

The two top BNP leaders are scheduled to hold a private meeting on Saturday night local time. It is believed that the meeting may discuss the country's recent changes, the current situation, and various party issues.
