Mohammad Tajul Islam, Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunal (ICT), said that the trial of Awami League as a party will begin after the decision of the interim government.

He stated this after inspecting the renovation work of the old building of the International Criminal Tribunal on Sunday (November 10) morning.

Tajul Islam said, "We have not yet started the investigation as a team. However, we investigate at the individual level, we are finding the involvement of Awami League in every place."

He said, "Evidence of involvement in genocide and crimes against humanity against Awami League and its affiliated organizations is continuously being received. We will start working as soon as the government decides to start the judicial process of the Awami League."

The chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunal said, "Our investigation is going on in a parallel way, although we are not submitting the investigation report separately for trial."

Meanwhile, after investigating, law advisor Dr. Asif Nazrul said that the government is going to issue an Interpol red notice to bring back those involved in the July-August massacre including Sheikh Hasina.

Asif Nazrul said that Awami League has filed a baseless complaint against the government in the International Criminal Court to undermine the dignity of the country which the government is not taking into account.

He said, "This is not a case, this is just a petition written to the ICC prosecution office. Anyone in the world can do it. A fascist gang has made this a way of self-defense and spreading false propaganda to mislead the people."
