Suhrawardy Udyan packed with devout Muslim pilgrims

The Grand Islamic Conference is being held at Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital Dhaka in order to protect Tabligh, Qawmi Madrasa, and Deen (Protection of Religion). Millions of devout Muslims flocked from morning to participate in the conference. This historical park has already become a sea of ​​people with the gathering of devout Muslims.

The program was scheduled to start at 9 am on Tuesday (November 5), but the discussion started after 6 am due to the overcrowding. Under the initiative of Ulama Mashayekh Bangladesh (Followers of Maulana Zubair), Amir Maulana Obaidullah Faruque is presiding over the event. The conference will continue till 1 pm.


Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh Amir Shah Mohammad Muhibbullah Babunagari is present as the chief guest.


Prominent scholars attending the Grand Islamic Conference are – Allama Shah Mohibullah Babunogari, Allama Khalil Ahmad Qasemi, Allama Abdul Hamid, Allama Abdul Rahman Hafezzi, Allama Nurul Islam, Maulana Obaidullah Faruque, Maulana Rashidur Rahman, Allama Shaikh Ziauddin, Allama Shaikh Sajedur Rahman, Allama Abdul Quddus, Allama Nurul Islam Ulipuri, Maulana Mahfuzul Haque, Maulana Abu Taher Nadvi, Maulana Salahuddin Nanupuri, Maulana Mustaq Ahmad, Principal Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury, Maulana Mufti Mohammad Ali, Maulana Mufti Mansurul Haque, Maulana Mufti Delawar Hossain, Maulana Zafar Ahmad, Maulana Junaid Al Habib, Maulana Manzurul Islam Afendi, Maulana Bahauddin Zakaria, and Maulana Abdul Awal.

 
There are also Maulana Mohiuddin Rabbani, Maulana Nazmul Hasan Qasemi, Maulana Khaled Saifullah Sa'di, Maulana Mamunul Haque, Maulana Abdul Haque, Maulana Yunus, Maulana Nurul Haque, Maulana Obaidur Rahman Mahbub, Maulana Abdul Halim, Maulana Helal Uddin, Maulana Shawkat Hossain Sarkar, Maulana Niamat Ullah-Al-Faridi, and Maulana Ismail Nurpuri.

 

So far, more than 120,000 people have attended this conference. The conference venue was packed with people. The gathering started from Shahbagh and crossed the Kakrail intersection. The streets around it are also likely to be completely packed with people.


Traffic is moving slowly in the Shahbagh, Kakrail, and Motsho Bhaban areas due to heavy crowding.


Additional police and other members in plain clothes are also deployed to control the law and order situation. However, the overall situation in the area is normal.


It was seen on the spot that devout Muslims rushed towards the capital Dhaka immediately after Fajr prayers. The historic Suhrawardy Maidan was packed before sunrise. People also came from different districts of the country. 


Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) allowed the Grand Islamic Conference at Suhrawardy Udyan on the call of leading Islamic scholars on Monday. This permission was informed in a letter signed by DMP Joint Police Commissioner Mohammad Shahidullah PPM.
