The Interim Government's Advisory Council has approved the list of public holidays for 2025. In this, Eid-ul-Azha holidays have been increased to 6 days and Eid-ul-Fitr to 5 days. Apart from this, the Sharodiyo Durga Puja holidays have been made for 2 days.

Among them, two Eids are a day off. And the rest of the days before and after Eid will be holidays by executive order. Bijoy Dashami is a general holiday on the occasion of Durga Puja. Before that, there will be holiday on 9th day by executive order.

This leave was approved in the advisory council meeting held under the chairmanship of chief adviser Prof. Muhammad Yunus at his office in Tejgaon of the capital on Thursday.

Currently, there are three-day public holidays for each Eid and one day for the Durga Puja.

In such a situation, the Ministry of Public Administration proposes to extend the leave. The advisory council approved the proposal in Thursday's meeting.
