The Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Center in Amman has published the list of the 500 most influential Muslim figures in the world in 2025. The name of Muhammad Yunus, the chief advisor of the Interim Government of Bangladesh ranked 50th in the list.
"The Muslim 500" The World's 500 Most Influential Muslims list is published every year, reviewing the influence and contribution of Muslims worldwide. It has been published for 16 years.
The list selects influential Muslims in five categories. These categories are Religious, Political, Science and Technology, Arts and Culture, and Sports and Entertainment. Each category includes Muslim personalities who have made significant contributions in their respective fields.
Nobel laureate Dr. Muhammad Yunus, who has long been known around the world as the founder of Microfinance and Grameen Bank, was listed as the chief advisor of the interim government. His contributions to economic development and leadership in solving global problems earned him a place on this list. He is one of the most influential Muslims in the world from Bangladesh.
Queen Rania Al-Abdullah of Jordan, who has been working for the development of education and society for a long time, has become the 'Woman of the Year' in the women's category of the 2025 published list.
The list also includes leading Muslim figures including King Abdullah II of Jordan, Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani of Qatar, and Ayatollah Ali Khamenei of Iran.
