It has been raining heavily since Wednesday evening in the capital. It has been raining non-stop throughout the night. It rained until 8:30 am today.
Continues rain caused waterlogging in different areas of the capital this morning, causing hardship to commuters. Many people were seen wading through knee-deep and waist-deep water in Shantinagar, Malibagh, Mouchak, Rajarbagh, Paltan, Motijheel Colony, Green Road, Fakirapool, Mirpur of Dhaka have accumulated water.
Office-goers faced difficulties in reaching their destinations due to lack of transport in the morning.
The Meteorological Department says that it may rain in different parts of the country till next Saturday.
Due to the active monsoon, deep clouds have formed over the Bay of Bengal. As a result, there is a risk of storms across the country, especially in the coastal areas.
