Bangladesh is making waves in cricket history by dominating Pakistan in their own backyard. Bangladesh wins the series 2-0, showing their remarkable performance.
After securing a commanding 10-wicket victory in the first Test, they followed it up with a 6-wicket win in the second.
This marks only the second time Bangladesh has won a Test series abroad, with the first being in 2009 against a weakened West Indies team. However, this recent series win holds even greater significance.
For Pakistan, this defeat is historic as well. It’s only the second time they have lost a Test series at home, with the last instance being a 3-0 loss to England in 2022.
Chasing a target of 185 runs, Bangladesh made it look easy. Openers Zakir Hossain and Sadman Islam laid a solid foundation with a 58-run partnership, scoring 40 and 24 runs respectively.
Nazmul Hossain and Muminul Haque continued the momentum, contributing 38 and 34 runs. Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim then completed the chase after Muminul’s dismissal with the score at 153.
