Chief advisor of the interim government Dr Muhammad Yunus visited Abu Sayed's grave, a student of Begum Rokeya University, who was shot by police during quota reform movement.
Earlier on Saturday (August 10) he reached Jafarpara, Babanpur village of Pirganj at around 11 o'clock.
Dr Yunus will talk to the family members of Abu Sayed after visiting the grave.
After that, Dr Yunus is scheduled to go Begum Rokeya University and exchange views with teachers and students there.
Security has been beefed up in the area for the arrival of the head of interim government. Army personnel and other law enforcement personnel are staying there. However, presence of police was not particularly noticed.
On July 16, Abu Sayed was shot dead by police at park intersection adjacent of Begum Rokeya University during quota reform movement.
